“Odessa Mama” was the inaugural Salt & Pomegranates feast. My mother, Alexandra, was really my first cooking instructor. She often quips that Odessites were the best cooks in the Soviet Union, and her cooking does not belie that sentiment. This dinner is an homage to my “Odessa Mama’s” signature dishes.
